Aims: To improve students’ total literacy skills so that
they can write in a diverse number of ways in response to a variety
of needs
Applicable for year 7/8 or late year 6
Format: Currently each course consists of six
modules. The main emphasis is on improving writing
skills. Each course covers:
• writing skills in descriptive, instructive and argumentative
styles
• vocabulary enrichment and word usage
• grammar, punctuation and parts of speech
